What is so revolutionary about Color Wow Color Security Shampoo?
Color Security Shampoo is a 180-degree departure from typical color care products. Not only formulated without sulfates, it also has NO SILICONES, NO CONDITIONING AGENTS, NO PEARLIZING AGENTS…one or more of which is found in virtually every shampoo on the market. These ingredients leave behind residues that not only dull the hair, but can actually clog the follicle and worse than that can impede new hair growth.

Can Color Security Shampoo be used on all hair types?
Yes! It is a sulfate-free shampoo so it is very gentle. Because we’ve taken out all the unnecessary ingredients, it won’t dull hair, weigh it down, or impede new hair growth like traditional shampoos so it is recommended for all hair types. A shampoo should clean hair, period. It should not condition, volumize or defrizz because these ingredients can stay behind and are completely counterproductive to the cleansing process.

My hair is getting thinner. Is Color Security Shampoo a thickening shampoo?
There are no thickening agents or other ingredients in this formula. These types of ingredients should never be found in shampoos because they are designed to stick to hair. Color Security Shampoo was formulated to leave nothing behind which will stick to hair or scalp. If you are using a so-called “thickening” shampoo that deposits materials on your hair and scalp, these materials are probably building up, clogging your follicles, impeding hair growth….and in fact, making your hair thinner! Use styling products to bulk up hair or leave in supplements. Your shampoo should only cleanse.

I have extensions and am afraid to wash them. Is Color Security shampoo a safe choice?
It is the perfect choice for washing…and prolonging! extensions because the formula has NO SILICONES OR CONDITIONING AGENTS: ingredients that are literally used to loosen and detach extensions.

Every shampoo says “sulfate-free”. What’s so different about Color Security?
There are many things that make this shampoo different from other sulfate-free formulas. First of all, it foams which is not typical of other non sulfate formulas. It is as gentle as water. But as has been said above, unlike other shampoos, this formula contains no conditioning agents, no volumizing ingredients, no silicones. It leaves nothing behind that can weigh hair down, dull it or impede new hair growth.
